THE HARRIS TWEED
This hardwearing natural wool that makes the Harris Tweed, is a cloth that gets woven for us by crofters in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, in their homes. The crofters weave this fabulous cloth on traditional looms in their homes, a skill that is passed on from generation to generation.
After the crofter finishes the weaving, the cloth goes to the mill to be washed, scrubbed, and finally marked with the Harris Tweed Authority stamp, so it's ready to use. It can take up to three months minimum from start to finish before this special heritage woven wool fabric arrives at the LISH London studio. For more than a century, Harris Tweed has been recognised as one of the world's most durable - as well as fashionable - fabrics; made from pure wool in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
THE WOOL
We love that Harris Tweed is an environmentally friendly fabric. The hill sheep that yield the wool for Harris Tweed are raised outdoors on pasture and are shorn once a year for their own health and comfort, it's a naturally renewable fibre source. British wool producers take animal welfare very seriously, and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of sheep husbandry. Sheep do not require prevention of flystrike through mulesing as such can always be guaranteed non-mulesed.

Our designer dog beds feature a tweed exterior and base with a hollow-fibre filling which moulds to your dog’s body for outstanding comfort and support. Afterwards, it springs back into shape, so your bed always looks smart. The technologically advanced filling also has ‘thermo-regulating’ properties which help keep your dog cool in summer and warm in winter.
