ABOUT US

LISH is the private label of the Persian born, London based designer Lilly Shahravesh. Founder of LoveMyDog the first Canine Couture House in the UK, Lilly has created brands seen on fashion catwalks and worn by celebrity dogs from Rankin to Lauren Bacall. She has over 30 years experience designing and working with textiles and over 18 years experience designing sustainable pet accessories. Her designs have been stocked in flagship department stores in Paris, Milan, New York, Tokyo and Sydney, as well as iconic London stores including Harrods, Heals, Selfridges, Petersham Nurseries, Fortnum & Mason and Liberty, having also designed Liberty's first ever pet range.

In creating LISH, Lilly has kept the exquisite quality, English style and signature hand-woven tweeds that LoveMyDog was famous for. The LISH label has given Lilly the freedom to explore new artistic directions. All the dog coats, beds and blankets are still cut and pinned by hand here in the vibrant heart of London, with beautiful fabrics and leathers in creative colourways, personally chosen by Lilly herself.

Each hand-crafted piece comes from LISH in London - your genuine canine couture designed by Lilly .

All our garments and accessories are designed and hand-crafted in the UK under the watchful eye of our founder and creative director Lilly Shahravesh. Tweeds are woven in the outer Hebrides, where Lilly worked closely with weavers to create a new tartan Harris tweed, known as Hoxton Tartan, find out more about our sustainable Dog Coats here .  Every item is hand-cut and pinned, individually stitched and hand-finished, while our snuggly chic dog sweaters are expertly knitted from pure new wool. LILLY’S BIG IDEA

Lilly was enjoying a successful career designing knitwear and textiles for fashion houses when her sister introduced a half chihuahua, half miniature pinscher called Missy to the family. Besotted, Auntie Lilly wanted to treat Missy but couldn’t find quality dog clothing for such a tiny pup.
The natural solution was to make them herself, using fabric from her own collection. Once Lilly had crocheted a dog sweater, stitched a blanket with Missy’s name on it and made a fleece-lined designer coat, Missy was becoming a fashion icon. People were asking where they could buy the items and Lilly realised there was a gap in the market.

FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

Lilly's designs exports internationally, has a who’s who of celebrity clients and relationships with the very best British craftspeople, who have a hand in creating the luxury products. In 2011, Lilly founded the Spitalfields Paw Pageant and doggy catwalk show – an event which has gone on to raise thousands of pounds for Battersea dogs and cats home. Where would you expect to find a cutting edge fashion house but in fashionable London? Based in an airy studio located in the heart of East London – the nerve centre of Britain’s creative industries.

THE FINEST GARMENTS, MADE WITH LOVE

The business stays true to Lilly’s original vision of traditional British classics with an urban twist. All fabrics and wools are hand-picked by Lilly herself and her 35 year background in textile design gives our products an unrivalled level of quality and detail. As well as the bespoke tweeds and the pure new wool knits, dog coats are also cut from Melton wool, traditionally used for the uniforms of the soldiers who guard Buckingham Palace.

LILLY AND RABBIT
You can’t talk about LISH without talking about Rabbit. Half Norfolk terrier and half Jack Russell, Rabbit joined the team in 2007 as muse, fit model and number one stress-buster. Watch out for him perched in the basket of Lilly’s bike, as the pair of them cruise around East London, soaking up ideas from the vibrant city streets.
