Every LISH piece begins long before the first cut of leather.
It starts at the studio — with colour.

The Spencer Rhubarb Pink collar and lead set began as a mood board: a considered palette of pink tones, made from inspirational cuttings of images, gathered over time. Fragments of fabric added in with the fashion imagery and curated paintings that are brought together to explore a single idea — not just pink, but a very particular pink. One that feels warm, modern, and distinctive. From here, the design takes shape.

Quick initial sketches guide how the contrast colours come together. The relationship between leather and hardware — every detail is considered. A LISH piece must feel effortless in daily life, soft on your dog's neck and a leash that is supple yet strong to hold. The material is just as important as the design.
The leather is sourced from a small, traditional tannery in Tuscany, where vegetable dyes are used to create a rich, natural colour. These methods have remained unchanged for generations — a slower process, free from toxic chemicals, that produces leather with depth, softness and strength. It’s a way of making that values longevity over speed.
Then, in England, the design is brought to life.

Each collar and lead is cut and stitched by hand by skilled British saddlers. The result is something you can feel immediately — supple in the hand, yet reassuringly strong. Gentle against your dog’s neck, but made to withstand the realities of everyday wear.
Details are carefully considered, never decorative for the sake of it. Solid brass fittings are chosen for their strength and durability, then lacquered to retain their lustre over time. Burnished rivets reinforce key points of strength, while an additional loop keeps the collar tip sitting neatly in place — a small but important refinement.

The lead is designed with equal thought. A solid brass loop within the handle allows it to be clipped back onto itself, so it can be worn over the shoulder or around the waist when your dog is off the lead — a simple, practical detail that becomes indispensable on daily walks.
Finally, each piece is finished with the hand-stamped LISH logo — a quiet mark of origin, and of the craftsmanship behind it.
From mood board to sketch, to the finished collar and lead, every stage happens with intention.
The result is something that feels considered and easy — a balance of colour, craft and practicality, shaped in the LISH studio and made in England to be worn every day.
